Hair Product hunting In Owerri (A cry for Help)

Hey Naturals, How you dey dey????, so Today i went to the stores around me to look for my styling products and Guess what it was Hell as usual, most store i went to never even heard of the products i was looking for...which made me wonder if i was calling the name right but to my surprise i was, Its not like i was looking to buy a rare and priceless artifact, i was just looking for the Regular ORS Olive Oil Smooth N Hold Pudding, and they don't have it some even never heard of the products they were just showing me regular gels that had hair damaging Ingredients and i was fatally disappointed
I realized that there was Very little or no Natural hair care knowledge in Owerri, in fact so called hair saloon don't know sh*t about Natural hair care, My naturals, imagine living in a city where you are one of the few or possibly the only naturalista in the city, for the first time in my life i felt alone... so i came back with ORS conditioner and i decided to go online i thought at the time that was gonna be my life saver but i went to Jumia, com, konga, com and my hair care favorite olori.com but to no avail, but my search is still on i believe that one day some one somewhere will rise up to the needs of Naturalista in Owerri and in Nigeria at large and open a beauty store like Sally's(tm) in Owerri, do any of my naturals have any suggestions on where you can find natural hair care products around you. My Transitioning guide

  • Hey Lovelies, here is first of many post from this blog, I will start by saying that transition from Relaxed to Natural has been quite fun and at the same time challenging, i had to choose a wash-day  that is perfect for me, my hair care Regimen, Night time routine and my combing method. I've been at it for 2 months now, i know to some folks i am still an infant Naturalista but i hope to pull my readers along with me through my journey, and hopefully i will never have to go back to the most tempting creamy crack (relaxer)

To prepare my hair for the transitioning, i had to do the protein treatment because you  need a good protein-moisture base for your relaxed ends to flourish and survive without breaking from where the new growth and the relaxed hair meet and  i also bought Vitale Hair mayonnaise for the protein treatment although i had already done my homemade protein treatment which i will be posting the How-to in my following post, it works good for both relaxed and naturals...

My wash day is Saturday, so each Saturday, i go through my wash-day rituals, from co washing to deep conditioner to another conditioning and finally adding my essential oils and styling my hair to an bantu knot....

so far the journey has been pretty fun and adventurous, I will keep you girls updated, on future developments and on how my hair reacts to the products i use and the product's reviews, have a lovely day
